The Burke National Honor Society is holding a food drive for the Wear N’ Wares Thrift Store Food Bank. Donations are being accepted until December 18th. Donations such as canned goods, paper products and cash are greatly appreciated.

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Thursday, December 11th beginning at 7pm at the Rosebud Fairgrounds. There will be cash prizes for the top four place finishers.

The Winner Area Chamber of Commerce has postponed their Parade of Lights that was scheduled for tonight to next Friday, December 5th at 6:30pm. In regard to Santa Day today, they will still be having Santa at the Winner American Legion from 1 to 4pm. There will not be any wagon rides, s’mores or reindeer today.

Santa and his reindeer will be coming to Ainsworth next weekend! They will be at the Ainsworth Fire Hall on Sunday, December 7th. They will be taking pictures with kids from 1-3pm. There will also be cookies and hot chocolate for all in attendance.

The Chamberlain/Oacoma Area Chamber of Commerce has cancelled their Parade of Lights that was scheduled for tonight due to the weather. They want to thank everyone for all the time and effort put into getting the event prepared this year.

The Annual Mid-Winter Fair is Saturday, Nov 29th from 9am to 4pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Over 40 venders will be on hand offering a wide range of products! Santa will be there from 12noon to 2pm. The Gregory After Prom will be serving have a breakfast and lunch stand.

The Winner Regional Foundation will present their annual Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 6th at Saint Mary’s Hall beginning at 5pm. This year’s theme is ‘The Roaring’ 20’s’. Early in the noon hour today, the wind blew off a roof of a newly constructed shed, south of the Winner Country Club. The roof landed on power lines, which caused a city wide power outage across the City of Winner. Power was restored a couple hours later.

Earlier this morning, there were also two separate power outages in Southern Tripp County. Rosebud Electric crews were on the scene and restored power prior to Noon today.
