South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks will be holding a huntsafe course in Bonesteel on Friday, October 24th from 8am to 7pm at the South Central Elementary Lobby. If you would like to register, pease call Jeremy at 654-2314.

It’s Homecoming week for students at Winner, Kimball/White Lake and Ainsworth Schools. Winner’s parade on Friday will begin at 2pm. Kimball’s parade Friday will start at 10:30am, before the parade in White Lake begins at Noon. Ainsworth’s parade Friday will start at 2:20.

The Winner Catholic Church will hold their annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 5th at St. Mary’s Hall. It will be carry out and delivery only from 4:30 to 6:30. There won’t be any tickets this year, just come and pay at the door. It will be $15 per meal as they will be serving a full turkey dinner.

The T4 Foundation in Winner will host a fall festival on Sunday, October 5th at the Winner City Park from 11:30am to 2pm. There will be pumpkin decorating, food vendors setup, photo ops, crafts and plenty more to explore that day.

Winner Regional Health will be hosting a heartsaver CPR Class on Wednesday, October 1st from 5:30-8pm. You must pre-register by contacting Beth Storms at 605-842-7193.

The Chamberlain/Oacoma Volunteer Fire Department will hold a bottled water drive on Wednesday, October 1st from 6 to 8pm at the Chamberlain Fire Hall. There will also be a fire extinguisher giveaway that night as well.

The final Burke Area Farmers Market of the season will take place this evening at the Burke City Park from 5:30 to 7pm. Southern Plains of White River will be holding their annual Butterfly Release today, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Month. The release will take place this afternoon beginning at 4pm at the White River City Park.

Rosebud Electric is having a planned power outage today from 9am to 5pm. This outage will affect all members east of Fairfax to the Fort Randall Dam. The town of Fairfax should not be affected by the outage. WAPA will be doing maintenance in the Bonesteel Substation. If you have questions, call 835-9624.
