The 1st annual Chamberlain Farm, Home and Sports Show will be held Friday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 24th at the Arrowhead Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma! There will be many vendors from our area and also from outside the area. There will be seminars each day from Game, Fish and Parks, Farmers Business Network and Farm Bureau Financial Services. Sanford will be doing heart screenings on Friday, February 22nd and Saturday, the 23rd.

There will be a public meeting regarding the new school building for Colome Schools on Thursday, January 17th beginning at 7pm at the Colome Gym. There will be another meeting this Friday, the 18th in Wood at 7pm at the Community Hall. Come out and get all of the details on the new building!

The annual Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament will be held January 25th and 26th at the Merritt Dam Reservoir, 26 miles south of Valentine. The members of the Reliance Area Community Development will host their annual Dinner Theater on Friday, January 25th and Saturday, January 26th! Come and find out what shenanigans take place in the laundry of an 1890’s gold mining town! The 40th annual Ranchers Workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at the Community Events Center in White River. The main speaker for this year’s event will be Jay Fuhrer, who is a Conservationist with the NRCS in Bismarck. Money received for the event will be used to help pay for speaking fees, facility use fees, advertising and other expenses.

The Stuart Raceway will be holding an informational meeting on Sunday, January 13th beginning at 3pm at the Stuart Auditorium. The Raceway Committee is looking at adding Micro Spring classes for the upcoming racing season. A National Open Wheel 600 representative will be in attendance. The 9th annual Gary Kaiser Memorial Pitch Tournament will be held this Sunday, January 13th at the Winner Elk’s Lodge. It will be a five point pitch tournament starting at 1pm. You can sign up by calling 842-2141. There is a twenty dollar entry fee per two person team with one hundred percent payback.
