Reminders for the week

The Town and Country Women’s Club will be hosting a self defense course tonight at the Winner American Legion beginning at 7pm. Spaces are limited. To signup call Brenda at 840-1040 or Denise at 882-6667. The Winner High School Drama Department will present “The Beverly Hillbillies” April 5th through the 7th with a curtain time at 7pm each night at the Winner Community Playhouse.

Fireman's Ball set for this weekend

Be sure to make plans to attend the annual Winner Volunteer Fireman’s Dance that will take place this Saturday, April 7th at the Winner National Guard Armory starting at 9pm! Dustin Evans and the Good Times Band will be providing the great tunes all night. You must be 21 to attend and id’s will be checked at the door. Rides will be provided to and from the dance.

Rosebud Casino Dart Tournament to happen April 14th

Don’t forget that the Rosebud Casino will be holding their annual dart tournament on Saturday, April 14th! There will be one hundred percent payout and it is limited to the first forty two teams who sign up. You muse pre-pay by Wednesday, April 4th. If you have questions on the dart tournament you can contact TNT Enterprises at 605-384-5350.

Prom week for six schools!

It’s hard to believe that prom season is  here for a good number of our area schools! Six schools- Kimball, Platte/Geddes, Gregory, Chamberlain, South Central and Jones County are all celebrating prom on Saturday, April 7th. Stay tuned to KWYR News in the coming days to hear from a representative from each school as they give us the details on each prom event. All of us here at KWYR wish all prom goers a fun and safe prom season!

Carlock to begin dance season April 7th

The Carlock Dance Hall will proudly welcome Molly B to their stage on Saturday, April 7th with two shows! The 1 to 5pm show tickets are only available online at squeezeboxband.com. Tickets for the second show (which runs 7-11pm) can be purchased by calling Dennis Hansen at 835-8034. They hope to see you next weekend at Carlock!

Egg my House event to happen this weekend

The Colome Pink Ladies are holding an ‘Egg my House’ fundraiser! Children can wake up on Easter morning to a yard covered in plastic Easter Eggs filled with candy! The cost for the fundraiser is twenty five dollars per dozen and all proceeds will go to local cancer fighters. This is limited to the towns of Colome and Winner. If you have questions, call Tara at 840-0280 or Chrissy at 840-0343.
