The Platte Livestock Market will hold a hog, sheep, goat and horse sale starting at 1pm this afternoon with the sheep and goats. The horse sale will follow with the tack at 4:30 and horses at 5. Also keep in mind that the Herrick Board of Trustees meeting for tonight has been postponed to January 15th at 7pm at the Herrick American Legion Hall.

The Helping Hands Community Food Pantry in Platte is asking the community to help with stocking the food pantry in the month of January. Items or donations can be dropped off on Wednesday’s from 1-4 at the food pantry or in the blue food pantry totes at various churches in the community.

The Chamberlain/Oacoma Volunteer Fire Department is holdingtheir annual fundraiser during the holiday season. The Cribbage season is upon us! All cribbage players are asked to join in and play weekly starting tonight at the Winner American Legion beginning at 7pm. Ladies Night will take place at the Rosebud Arrow, Rod & Gun Club in Winner this Wednesday, January 3rd at 7pm. All ladies interested in a evening of shooting are welcome to attend.
