This summer, the Winner Community Playhouse will host the play “Treasure Hunt”. This will be in cooperation with the Black Hills Playhouse. Students in grades K through 12 will be welcome to come and audition. Further details will be provided here on kwyr.com and on KWYR News.

Gregory After Prom to hold a car wash next week
The Gregory After Prom Party Committee will be hosting a car wash on Tuesday, June 26th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Buche Foods parking lot. They are asking for donations of a minimum of ten dollars per car. All of the proceeds will go toward the expenses to host the Gregory After Prom Party.
Team roping to happen at the Frontier Arena this weekend
They will be back at it with team roping this Saturday at the Frontier Arena in Colome! Entries will close at 3:30 and roping will get underway at 4pm sharp. Upcoming blood drives in Gregory County
A blood drive will happen in Burke on Monday, June 25th from 10:45am-4:15pm at the Civic Center. To make an appointment call Nikki at 775-8290. Burke Area Farmers Market to begin next month
The Burke Area Farmers Market will begin on Thursday, July 12th from 4:30-6:30pm on Main Street! They will have many old and new vendors this summer. Soil Health Field Day set for next week
Don’t forget that a Soil Health Field Day will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at the George S. Michelson Building in Murdo. Registration will start at 9:30am. Details on July events in Antelope
A Marvel Superheroes themed Antelope youth parade will be held on Saturday, July 14th beginning at 9am. Bikes, horses, youth groups and community members will gather in front of the community building. If you have questions call Melinda at 828-3936. The Antelope Community Walk/Run will also happen on the 14th at the Wacipi Grounds. Registration will begin at 7am and Is sponsored by the Antelope Youth and Community. Free farm ranch clinic set for Thursday
There will be a free Farm Ranch Clinic in Valentine this week! The clinic will be held Thursday, June 21st at the Cherry County Extension Office. This is a great opportunity to speak with agriculture law attorneys and an financial counselors on issues that may be affecting your farm or ranch. Jackpot series returns tomorrow!
There will be a pole bending and barrel racing jackpot series in Valentine this week! The event will happen on Tuesday, June 19th. There will be more events on July 10th and July 24th! Entries will start at 5pm and the jackpot will get underway at 6pm. There will be peewee, youth and open divisions. This is a five run series and they will be having a double run for the July events. Benefit fishing tournament to happen July 7th
The second annual “Fishing for a Cure” Ladies Fishing Tournament will happen in Chamberlain on July 7th. The ladies are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with the event so that all the funds can assist any community member that is battling cancer. Donations may be monetary or items for their raffle and auction. All funds raised will stay local and can be used for assistance defray the cost for gas, food, lodging or bill payments of any kind.
