There will be a send off for Carley Fisher at 9:00 a.m. this morning which will take place on the north side of the Winner School administration building. Carley and her family will be travelling to Minneapolis for her surgery.

Chamberlain School Board Meeting on Monday Night
The Chamberlain School District 7-1 Board of Education will hold their Board Meeting Monday, September 19 at the Chamberlain High School Library located at 1000 Sorensen Drive at 7:00 p.m. Please note the Chamberlain School Board meeting is a week later due to the recent bond election that was held.
Winner Pix Theater Closed
The Winner Pix Theater is closed for the unforeseeable future due to smoke and water damage it received from an adjacent building fire. Yesterday they had a water restoration company in to try and minimize the damage and are now waiting to hear from the insurance assessor. The Pix Theater board of directors plans on updating the public when they have further information.
2 Vehicle crash South of Colome
Tonight after 5:45pm, local authorities including Tripp County Ambulance responded to a 2 vehicle head on collision South of Colome, according to Tripp County Sheriff Shawn Pettit. Area Homecomings Next Week
Platte-Geddes High School, Kimball High School and Todd County High School will all hold their homecoming festivities next week from Monday, September 19th, through Friday, September 24th. KWYR wishes all area students a fun and safe homecoming.
Chamberlain School Bond Election Results
Yesterday, a school district bond election was held in the Chamberlain School District. The results went in favor for the bond being issued with 84 percent of voters saying “yes” and 16 percent of voters saying “no”.
Chamberlain School District Bond Election Today
The Chamberlain school district bond election takes place today in all voting precincts in the Chamberlain school district. Election polls are open from7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this election is to decide if a 5 and a half million-dollar bond for several school improvements will be issued or denied.
Polling locations include the Chamberlain Community Center, the Fort Thompson Community Center, and the Oacoma Community Center.
