The South Dakota State High School Track and Field Meets wrapped up Saturday at Howard Wood in Sioux Falls. Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake won the boys Class B 400 in 49.45. Kranig set a new record in the boys Class B 200, winning that in 21.89, while Gregory’s Pierce Stukel was eighth in 23.32. Winner’s Jaxon Day was a state champion in the boys Class A Discus with a throw of 176-04, which made him the the gold medalist, having the longest throw in all three classes. Winner’s Legend Benedict placed third in the boys discus with a throw of 161-10. Peyson O’Neill of Bennett County won the Girls Class B 100 Hurdles in 14.46. Zachery Moyer of Chester won the Boys Class B 110 Hurdles in 14.82. Lyman’s Cole Keiffer placed fifth in 15.61. Reagan O’Neill of Bennett County won the Girls Class B 100 Hurdles in 12.07. Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery was runner up in a time of 12.45. BreAna Aske of Jones County placed sixth in 12.72 while Burke’s Breckynn Pistulka was eighth in 12.79. The Boys Class B 100 was won by Kyle Hettich of Ipswich in 10.94. Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake was runner up in 11.00. Elli Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian won the girls Class A Mile in 4:53:37. Grace Phillips of Chamberlain placed seventh in 5:11:61. Jones County’s BreAna Aske was runner up in 25.73. Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery was fourth, while Breckynn Pistulka of Burke placed fifth. Harley Harris of Bennett County won the girls Class B triple jump with a meet best, 35-09.25. Sioux Falls Christian won the boys Class A team title with 110 points. Lincoln won the boys AA team title with 178 points. Philip won the boys B team title with 76 points. Sioux Falls Christian won the girls class A team title with 178 points. Stevens won the girls AA team title with 111 points, while Bennett County won the girls B team title with 98 points.

The Nebraska and Ole Miss game had play suspended after 8 innings due to lightning with Ole Miss leading, 6-3. Play will resume at noon today. The lose will play Arizona State at 2pm.

At the Battle of the Business Tournament at the Burke Golf Course, the SoDak Dietician LLC team consisting of Val and Tyler Van Metre were victorious shooting a 68.

At the Valentine Fire Department Golf Tournament that took place at Frederick Peak in Valentine on Saturday, team Crawford won as they shot a 60.

*The girls class A 3200 meter run was won by Ellie Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian in 10:29:33. Grace Phillips of Chamberlain placed sixth.
*The boys class B 3200 meter run was won by Silas Holdeman of Mitchell Christian in 9:36:32. Gregory’s Luke Barreto placed seventh.
