The Winner Area Wrestling team had a strong day at the Big Dakota Conference Tournament Saturday in Fort Pierre as they won the team title with 245.5 points. Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes was runner up with 220 points while Chamberlain was third with 166 points. Gavin Braun of Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes won a championship at 106A while Rope Reis of Chamberlain won a championship at 106B. Winner Area’s Maxton Brozik won a championship at 113 lbs. At 126, Iden Myers of Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes won a championship. At 138, Chase Varilek of Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes was victorious. Winner Area’s Kaden Keiser won a championship at 145. Riley Orel of Winner Area won a championship at 160. Jack Kruger of Winner Area was victorious at 182. Levi Nightingale of Kimball/White Lake-Platte/Geddes won a championship at 195. Canyon Burkard of Chamberlain won a championship in the heavyweight division.

 

At the Redfield Invite Saturday, Burke/Gregory finished third as a team. Owen Hanson and Taron Serr walked away champions at the tournament.
