South Dakota postseason regional volleyball will begin next week. Locally, in Region 7A, Winner is the top overall seed and earned a first round bye. Winner will host the winner of Pine Ridge and Little Wound on Thursday, November 6th at the Winner Armory. Todd County is the three seed in Region 7A and will host Red Cloud Tuesday. In Region 6A, four seeded Chamberlain will host 5 seeded Crow Creek on Tuesday. The winner of that game will get top seeded Miller on the road on Thursday. Platte/Geddes is the three seed in Region 6A, they will host six seeded Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Tuesday. In Region 5B, Burke is the top overall seed. They will host the winner of Monday’s Marty and AC/DC match on Tuesday. Colome is the ten seed on Monday, they will play at 7 seeded Lower Brule. Six seeded Kimball/White Lake on Monday will host 11 seeded Mitchell Christian. 5 seeded Gregory on Tuesday will play at four seeded Lyman. In Region 7B, Bennett County is the one seed, and will host the winner of New Underwood and Oelrichs on Tuesday. Four seeded White River on Tuesday will host five seeded Edgemont, while six seeded Philip plays at three seeded Jones County on Tuesday.

South Dakota State Cross Country Meets took place Saturday afternoon in Huron. Tate Grabow of Hill City won the Boys Class A race in 15:42:86. Mikah Peters of Brandon Valley won the Boys Class AA race in 14:54:1. Silas Holdeman of Mitchell Christian won the boys Class B race in 16:16:94. Elijah Haukaas of White River placed sixth, while Luke Barreto of Gregory was 14th. In the Girls Class A race, Ellie Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian was victorious in a time of 17:32:60. Grace Phillips of Chamberlain placed sixth. In the Girls Class AA race, Brianna Reilly of Harrisburg was victorious in a time of 16:45:92. In the Girls Class B race, Ella Boekelheide of Northwestern was victorious in a time of 18:44:27. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake placed third, while her teammate, Alli McCord finished seventh.

Winner won the SESD Tournament Saturday in Platte. Winner defeated Platte/Geddes 2 sets to 0. Winner went on to beat Wagner 2 sets to 0, and then defeated Burke 2 sets to 0, before taking down Parkston 2 sets to 0 in the championship
State Cheer and Dance
At the State AA Meet Saturday in Watertown, Harrisburg finished first in cheer with 295.5 points. Brandon Valley was first in dance with 592.5 points.

The Class A State Competitive Cheer and Dance Competition was held last night in Watertown. Sioux Valley was the grand champion in cheer with 283 points. Winner Area was fourth with 246 points. Dakota Valley was the grand champion in dance as they finished with 590 points. Winner Area was runner up with 460.5 points. Platte/Geddes was third and Gregory was fourth. Platte/Geddes was first in hip hop while Gregory was second. Dakota Valley was first in jazz while Winner Area was second. In pom, Dakota Valley was first, while Winner Area was second and Gregory was third.
