The Winner/Colome Pheasants were able to receive some clutch, late game hits Thursday night from multiple guys as they took down the Renner Bullets, 7-4. Connor Hopkins earned the win in relief. Dillion Lambley hit the go-ahead single in the eighth before Austin Richey blasted a two run double to center to extend the lead to three. The Pheasants advance to play Alexandria in the semifinals on Saturday at 5:30. Coverage on Magic 93 will start at 5pm.

A pair of games took place on Monday night at Cadwell Park in Mitchell for the State B Amateur Baseball Tournament. In game 1, the Renner Bullets were able to hold off the Platte Killer Tomatoes, 9-5. In game two, the Winner/Colome Pheasants were able to march on to the third round as they beat Garretson, 5-2. Winner/Colome will play Renner at around 8pm Thursday. We will have coverage on 93.7FM.

Day 3 of the State B Amateur Baseball Tournament took place Friday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell. In game 1, Garretson defeated South Central, 14-4. Winner/Colome took down Flandreau, 6-2 in game two as Connor Hopkins struck out 11 in the victory. In game 3,  the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks beat Clear Lake, 11-1. In game 4, Redfield scored a 12-8 victory over Irene.

The State B Amateur Baseball Tournament got underway last night at Cadwell Park in Mitchell. In game 1, Groton beat Madison, 7-4. In game 2, the Dell Rapids Mudcats took down Plankinton, 14-1 in 8 innings. Dalton Allen was solid on the mound for Dell Rapids as he went seven innings, had eight strikeouts, allowed just three hits and one earned run. The Mudcats will play Groton Sunday at 5:30.
