Day 1 State Golf results

At the State A Boys Golf Meet in Vermillion today, Hayden Heig of St. Thomas More had the low score of the day shooting a 3 under par, 69. Chase McQuirk was Chamberlain’s top golfer shooting a 78. Carter Craven and Brody Calhoon were Winner Area’s top golfers as they each shot an 85. Dakota Valley has a six stroke lead on Vermillion for the team title. Chamberlain is seventh in team standings going into day 2 tomorrow, while Winner Area is 12th.

At the State AA Tournament in Rapid City, Taten Mauney of O’Gorman had the low score of the day shooting a 5 under par, 67. Harrisburg is atop the team standings, while O’Gorman is second.

Alli McCord of Kimball/White Lake won the girls race in 20:35:79. Her teammates, Lily Baker and Autumn Baker, finished second and third. Berklee Mills of Platte/Geddes was seventh.

At the Lennox Invite, Gage Beverly of Vermillion won the boys race in 15:57:95. Ellie Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian won the girls race in 17:05:02. Chamberlain’s Grace Phillips placed fifth.
