USD to battle Montana on Saturday

The University of South Dakota Coyote Football team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the FCS Playoffs after their dominant, 47-0 win at Mercer on Saturday. The Coyotes this Saturday will play at Montana at 2:30pm. Montana on Saturday defeated  South Dakota State, 50-29.

At the Custer/Bill Young Invite on Friday, Custer won the team title with 198 points. Burke/Gregory was fourth with 167.5 points. Mason Janek of Burke/Gregory was a champion at 175. Burke/Gregory’s Dane Johnson was runner up at 113 pounds. Eli Ekroth of Burke/Gregory was runner up at 150.

 

At the Tea Triangular, Tea Area defeated Chamberlain, 55-18. Tea Area was victorious over Mitchell, 54-29. On the girls side, Tea Area defeated Chamberlain,  6-0. Mitchell defeated Tea Area, 30-11.
