In Major League Baseball Tuesday night, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers for a second straight night in a 4-2 victory. Taj Bradley struck out ten over 6 and 1/3 innings piched, while Ryan Jeffers drove in two runs, as Minnesota beat Detroit ace pitcher, Tarik Skubal. Skubal allowed four runs in 4 and 2/3 innings pitched. The two teams will play game 3 of their 4-game series tonight beginning at 6:40.

The Murdo Golf Course will hold a flag auction this Friday, April 10th. Happy hour will go from 5-6pm. Supper and dessert will take place beginning at 6pm and the auction will get started at 7:15. The cost is $25 for the meal.

The Gregory Golf Course will hold a ladies golf meeting on Thursday, April 23rd at the Clubhouse. Drinks will be served at 6pm, followed by the meeting at 6:30. If you are unable to attend, but want to signup for league play this season, call Sam at 830-5036.

The Chamberlain Country Club will hold a season kickoff party on Saturday, April 11th at the Clubhouse. Stop by for food and beverages from noon to 7pm, and watch the Masters too!

The Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho will hold a flag auction and gun raffle on May 9th. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased by contacting Chris Long at 605-838-6002.

The University of South Dakota Women’s Basketball team saw their season come to an end Wednesday night in the Fab Four of the WNIT in Vermillion. USD fell to Illinois State, 67-60. Molly Joyce led USD with 16 points. The Lady Coyotes end their season with a record of 26 wins and 10 losses.

At the DWU Indoor Meet on Tuesday in Mitchell, Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake won the boys 200 in 23.12. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake won the girls mile in 5:36:31. White River’s Elijah Haukaas was runner up in the boys 2 mile. Chamberlain’s Xavier Donovan won the boys 60 meter hurdles in 9.15. Chamberlain won the girls 4 x 8 relay in 9:32:69.
