In Parker, Chamberlain’s London Houska and Chase McQuirk tied for first as both guys shot an 80. Brayden Kriel of Chamberlain was runner up with an 86. Parker’s top golfer was Landon Wieman as he shot an 89.

At the Scotland Invite on Monday, Luke Freeman won the boys race in 19:09:57. Chamberlain’s Taiton Pease was runner up while Liam Gill of Chamberlain was third and Weston Foster of Winner Area was 11th.  Chamberlain’s Grace Phillips won the girls race in 20:11:54.

Vikings over the Bears, 27-24. Minnesota was able to erase a 17-6 deficit in the third quarter. JJ McCarthy had touchdown throws to Justin Jefferson and Aaron Jones in the second half. Minnesota will host Atlanta this Sunday night at 7:20.

At the Pierre Invite, finishing first in Pom was Aberdeen Central with 20 points, Winner Area was sixth with 15 points. Rapid City Central finished first in hip hop with 20 points. Rapid City was the grand champion in dance with 39 points, while Winner Area was sixth with 33 points. Rapid City Stevens was first in jazz with 20 points while Winner Area was third with 18 points. Rapid City Central was the grand champion in cheer with 240 points, while Winner Area was sixth with 209.5 points.

At the Elks 2 person Saturday at the Ainsworth Golf Course, the team of Nick and Kevin Martin were victorious shooting a 64.

At the Donovan Memorial Tournament at Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho on Saturday, the team of Jacob Sazue, TJ Beardt, Wyatt Mortenson and Tyler Choal won the championship flight as they shot a 59.

Boys Golf

At the Parkston Invite in Mitchell, Landon Weber of Parkston was the medalist carding a 71. Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain placed sixth with a 77. Cannon Speer of Chamberlain finished eighth with a 78. Carter Craven was Winner Area’s top golfer shooting an 85, while his teammate, Cooper Craven, shot an 86. Madison won the team title by one stroke over Chamberlain, while Winner Area was 10th.

 

Golf Tournament

At the Glow Ball Tournament Friday at Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho, the team of Caleb and Sophie Benson were victorious as they shot a 35. The shootout winner was Matt Booth.

 

Cross Country

At the Red Cloud Invite, White River’s Elijah Haukaas won the boys varsity race in a time of 18:48:37.  Michael Prue of Todd County was fourth. Tahca Zephier of Red Cloud won the girls varsity race in 23:03:44.
