The Black Hills State Women’s Basketball team defeated Western Colorado on Saturday, 60-45. Raven Cournoyer, formerly of Todd County, led BHSU with 15 points. Winner graduate, Morgan Hammerbeck, chipped in 13 points, while Kalla Bertram, formerly of Winner, had five points and five steals in the win. Black Hills State is now 8-4 on the season, and will be back in action Friday at Colorado Mesa. The Black Hills State Men’s Basketball team on Saturday defeated Western Colorado, 69-65. Winner graduate Blake Volmer had seven points in the victory. Black Hills State will travel to Colorado Mesa on Friday.

The South Dakota State Football team won their second consecutive FCS National Championship on Sunday, as they defeated Montana, 23-3! Quarterback Mark Gronowski received the Most Outstanding Player Award. The victory marked the 29th consecutive win for the Jackrabbits.
