At the Gregory Invite on Friday, Jones County’s BreAna Aske won the 100 meter dash in 13:07. Aske also won the 200 in 26:54. She claimed victory in the 400 in 59:84 and she also won the long jump with a meet best 16-1.5. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake won the girls mile in 5:44:83, and she also won the two mile in 12:40:93. Gregory won the girls 400 meter relay in 54:21. Gregory also won the girls 800 meter relay in 1:54:59. Gregory won the girls sprint medley relay in 5:29:44. Dani VanDerWerff of Gregory won the girls javelin with a throw of 130-4. Platte/Geddes won the girls 1600 meter relay in a time of 4:52:53. Platte/Geddes also won the girls 3200 meter relay in a time of 10:46:62. Delilah Rasmussen of Kimball/White Lake won the girls dicsus with a throw of 95-0. Addison Rankin of Jones County won the girls high jump with a leap of 5 feet. Twins win again!

In Major League Baseball Tuesday night, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers for a second straight night in a 4-2 victory. Taj Bradley struck out ten over 6 and 1/3 innings piched, while Ryan Jeffers drove in two runs, as Minnesota beat Detroit ace pitcher, Tarik Skubal. Skubal allowed four runs in 4 and 2/3 innings pitched. The two teams will play game 3 of their 4-game series tonight beginning at 6:40.
