In Tripp County on the ballot for Tripp County Auditor are Tanessa Collette vs Barb Desersa.  Running for Tripp County Sheriff is Dave Baker vs Shawn Pettit.  Running for Tripp County Commissioner in District 3 is Mike Novotny vs Steve Novotny.  Running for Tripp County Commissioner in District 5 is Cody Jorgensen vs Micah Cook.  On the ballot for precinct committeeman Tripp-Colome Consolidated are Brad Bolton vs Brian Beck.  Precinct committeeman Tripp-Ideal Consolidated is James Halverson vs Brad Assman.  Precinct Committeeman Tripp-Sully Consolidated is Richard Krantz vs Ken Engel.  Precinct Committeeman Tripp-Winner Consolidate is Nathan Naasz vs William Mann.  Precinct Committeewoman Tripp-Colome Consolidated is Debra Rae Kendrick vs Kay Bolton.  Precinct Committeewoman Tripp-Lamro Consolidated is Cindy Assman vs Becky Olson.  Precinct Committeewoman Tripp-Sully Consolidated is Susan Engel vs Sandra L. Krantz.

In Gregory County on the ballot for Gregory County Sheriff is Cody Spann vs. Ryan L. Cook.  Running for Gregory County Commissioner in District 3 is Byrain Boes vs Aaron Hogrefe.

The City of Gregory will have a Mayor Election.  On the ballot is Al Cerny, Laura Peterson and Herman “Butch” Rolf.

There is 1 seat open on the Todd County School Board for a 3 year term.  On the ballot for this seat is Timothy Cournoyer Sr., Timmi Lynn Grablander, Earl Hicks and Melissa Whiple.  Running for Todd County Commissioner in District 1 is Thomas S. Carr vs Wayne Frederick.  Running for Todd County Commissioner in District 5 is Patsy Valandra vs Maria Walking Eagle.  Running for Todd County Commissioner in District 3 is Leana Long, Deana Haukaas and Trent Poignee Sr. 1 seat is available.

Jones County will have an election for Sheriff.  On the ballot is Kyle Kumm vs Rich Sylva.

Lyman County will have an election for County Auditor.  On the ballot is Abby Martin vs Misti Ramser.  Running for Lyman County Precinct 9 Committeeman is Jared Schelske vs Mathew Bogue.  Running for Lyman County Precinct 13 Committeeman is Kent Juhnke vs Brian Kraus.

In Charles Mix County on the ballot for County Auditor is Jason Gant vs Colette Mesman.  On the ballot for County Commissioner District 1 is Robert (Bill) Frei vs Nick Stotz.

In Brule County running for County Commissioner in District 3 is James Kettelhut vs Steve Olson.

There will be an election for City Commissioner in Pukwana.  On the ballot is Olivia Downs vs Dixie Langton.

On the ballot for a 3 year term on the Kimball School board is Kendra Olson vs Kelly Konechne.  Running for Ward 2 Alderman in Kimball is Janene Wingert vs Matthew Bilben.

The City of Chamberlain will have a Mayor election.  On the ballot is Monte Clausen vs Chad Mutziger.

We also have some Legislative races in our area.  Running for State Senator in District 21 is Erin Tobin vs Mykala Voita.  Running for State Representative in District 21 with 2 seats open is Jim Halverson, Marty Overweg, Wyatt Dejong and John H. Harter.  On the Democrat ballot for State Senator in District 26 is Troy “Luke” Lunderman vs Shawn Bordeaux.  On the Republican ballot for State Senator in District 26 is Rebecca Reimer vs Tamara R. Grove.  Running for State Representative in District 26 is Will Mahnke vs Angi Hanzlik.

The Colome Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual chicken supper this evening from 5:30 to 8pm at the Colome Fire Hall. Stop by for a delicious supper and show your support for the hard working firemen!

The Ainsworth Area Chamber of Commerce will host their Middle of Nowhere Carnival Days June 12th through the 14th on Ainsworth’s Main Street. The carnival will be open on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 11pm, and again on Sunday from 6 to 10pm. Wristbands will be available for purchase at the ticket booth for $30 with unlimited rides.

The Greater Lyman Foundation will hold Music in the Park on June 11th at the Presho City Park! Supper will be served at 6pm, and Mogen’s Heroes will start playing at 7. There’s no cost to attend the show.

A FRIENDS OF BRIAN SCHRADER BENEFIT WILL HAPPEN ON MAIN STREET IN COLOME TODAY BEGINNING AT NOON. THERE WILL BE A SILENT AND LIVE AUCTION, ALONG WITH FOOD VENDORS SETUP, ALONG WITH LIVE MUSIC AND CORN HOLE TAKING PLACE. THERE WILL ALSO BE PLENTY GOING ON FOR THE EVENT AT THE COLOME LEGION, AND AT THE FRONTIER BAR IN COLOME TOO.
