The Gregory Public Library will be hosting an autumn guided painting tutorial class today from 2:30 to 6pm. This is open to teenagers and adults. All painting materials will be provided for the event.

Presho to hold blood drive next week
There will be a blood drive in Presho next week on Thursday, October 16th. The drive will be held at the Methodist Church running from 1 to 5:30pm. If you would like to signup in advance, please call Mary Swedlund at 605-680-9019.
Benefit for Dean Burger to happen on October 14th
A benefit lunch for Dean Burger will take place on Tuesday, October 14th from 11am to 2pm at the Ritz Plaza on Main Street in Winner. They will be serving a pulled pork sandwich meal, along with pulled pork nachos, super nachos for $12 each. All of the proceeds will support Dean as he recovers from cardiac arrest.
Blood Drive in Gregory tomorrow

State Golf results Tuesday
The State A Boys Golf Tournament wrapped up this afternoon in Vermillion. Hayden Heig of St. Thomas More was the individual medalist as he carded a tournament best, 138 two day total, including a 69 today. Chamberlain’s Chase McQuirk was the team’s top golfer as he carded a 159 two day total, including an 81 today. Carter Craven was Winner Area’s top golfer shooting a 167 two day total, including an 82 today. Dakota Valley won the team title by four strokes over Vermillion. Chamberlain was 9th as a team and Winner Area was 10th.
At the State AA Boys Golf Tournament in Rapid City, Taten Mauney of O’Gorman was the individual medalist as he carded a tournament best, 142 two day total, including a 74 today. Braxton Hollan of Lincoln tied with Charlie Swift of Harrisburg and Jayden Antonen of O’Gorman for runner up as all three shot a 147 two day total. Harrisburg won the team title by four strokes over O’Gorman, Lincoln was third.
Southern Belle Cattlewomen to hold Beef Fest next week
The Southern Belle Cattlewomen will hold Beef Fest next week! It will happen on Friday, October 17th from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner. Stop by and enjoy some delicious beef and sides and support the cattlewomen!
Show N Sell to happen November 22nd
ESA Beta Alpha will hold their annual Show N Sell on Saturday, November 22nd from 9am to 3pm at the Winner Armory. There will be numerous area vendors to shop that day along with the St. Jude Silent Auction. Concessions will be available that day too.
Cheering Against Cancer event coming up in Chamberlain
Chamberlain will be hosting a cheering against cancer event on Thursday, October 9th from 1-4pm at the Chamberlain High School Gym. Kids will learn a cheer routine that day, before they perform at halftime of the Tackle Cancer Football game Friday night, October 10th against Wessington Springs. It’s open to kids in grades K through 6.
Concert Sunday at Prairie View Gospel Barn
The Prairie View Gospel Barn in Gregory will welcome Karen Peck and New River their venue tomorrow for a performance! The show will start at 6:30pm, and a meal will be available for purchase as well. Tickets are $30 in advance and will be $35 at the door. For tickets, call Geoff at 830-1545.
Homecoming Coronation held Thursday night in Winner
The Winner School District held Homecoming Coronation last night inside the Winner Armory. Roper Moore was named Homecoming King, while Olivia Swedlund was named Homecoming Queen. Paul Schueth was revealed as today’s Parade Marshal.
