A couple of holiday concerts will be held next week in our area. The Lyman High School Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 18th at 7:30pm at the Lyman High School Gym in Presho. The Gregory Elementary Holiday Concert will take place on Monday, December 18th at 7pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium.

South Central Livestock Supply in Winner invites you to their grand opening today! Tresh Swedlund and the crew will hold an open house at their new location at 27855 Golden Prairie Drive in Winner, just north of the Drive Inn. They will serve lunch from 11 to 11:30 plus there will be storewide specials, door prizes and factory reps on site to answer any questions you may have.

Ladies Night will take place at the Rosebud Arrow, Rod & Gun Club in Winner on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7pm. All ladies interested in a evening of shooting are welcome to attend. The Country Pride Coop will hold two more free grain marketing informational meetings in the area today. The first meeting will start at 10am at the Burke Civic Center. A Colome Music Booster fundraiser will be held this Friday, December 15th from 5:30-8pm at the Legion Hall. They will be serving spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and desserts. The Colome High School choir and band students will be performing throughout the evening. Free will donations will be accepted.

The Chamberlain/Oacoma Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual fundraiser soon. Donations will be used toward the purchase of new bunker gear. Keep in mind that Bankwest in Gregory will be holding a “Meet and Greet” on Friday, December 15th from 1-4pm, as they will welcome Mike Scott, who will be spending one day a week at the Gregory Office. On the 15th, they will serve meet and cheese along with desserts, coffee and more. Come say hi to Mike and welcome him to Gregory!

A second public meeting/open house will be put on by the South Dakota Department of Transportation and the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks in regard to the South Dakota Highway 44/Platte-Winner Bridge Corridor study and environmental assessment on Wednesday, December 13th from 5:30-7pm at the Platte Community Center. There will be a short presentation at 5:45 and everyone is welcome to attend.

There will be a blood drive happening in Platte this afternoon from 12:30-6pm at the Platte Community Center.
