Pool Party and Picnic to happen in Winner next week
Golden West will be hosting a free pool party and picnic at the Winner City Pool on Wednesday, August 13th from 5 to 8pm. Kids can stop by and enjoy an evening of swimming and a hot dog meal at no cost. There will also be prize drawings throughout the evening too.

New event set for Saturday in Gregory
A new event will be put on by the Gregory/Dallas Chamber this Saturday, August 9th at the Gregory City Park from 9am to Noon called ‘Stomp, Chomp and Roar’. It’s a dinosaur-themed event featuring sensory stations for kids, and adults to learn more about the Jurassic period will happen. Children of all ages are welcome, but parents are encouraged to join. Local businesses will be set up along the walking trail of the city park with stations that will allow dinosaur lovers of all ages to touch, see, smell, taste and hear what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

All-School Reunion set for August 9th in Wood
The Wood All-School Reunion is set for next weekend! The reunion will take place on Saturday, August 9th. It will take place inside the Wood Gym beginning at 5pm. There will be a silent auction at 5:30, and dinner will be served starting at 6pm that night.
Hike and Plant tour happening in Valentine today
The Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association is holding an August Hike and Plant Tour today at the Valentine Wildlife Refuge. Participants are meeting at the Trailhead for the Civilian Conservation Corps Fire Tower Trail at 10am.
Mid Dakota Fair to wrap up tomorrow
It’s the last couple of days of the 2025 Mid Dakota Fair that’s happening at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner. The 4-H Swine, Sheep and Market Goat Shows will all happen today beginning at 8am this morning. The Breeding Beef and Market Beef Shows are some of the many things that will happen on Saturday.
