The 57th annual Tripp County 4-H Rodeo is happening today at the Tripp County Fairgrounds in Winner beginning at 9am. 22 events will be featured all throughout the day. Contestants will compete for a chance to qualify for the state finals in August in Fort Pierre.

Mid Dakota Fair to get underway July 29th in Winner
The Mid Dakota Fair will take place at the Tripp County Fairgrounds July 29th through August 2nd. Events will include the 4-H Rocket Launch on July 30th, Stem Challenge on July 31st, The 4-H Swine, Sheep and Market Goat Shows will all happen on August 1st. The Breeding Beef and Market Beef Shows are some of the many things that will happen on August 2nd.

Trinity Lutheran Church of Winner to host VBS next week
Trinity Lutheran Church in Winner will be hosting Vacation Bible School July 21st through the 24th. A meal will be served from 5:30 to 6pm, and lessons and crafts will happen from 6 to 7:30. The theme is ‘Soaring High’. To signup, call 842-1357.

Murdo Ranch Rodeo coming up this weekend
The Murdo Ranch Rodeo and Gumbo Ridge Bronc Ride will take place on July 18th and 19th at the Murdo Rodeo Arena. The bronc ride is Friday night, July 18th, with calcutta at 7:30pm. The Ranch Rodeo will happen on July 19th beginning with a calcutta at 5:30pm.
Bonesteel hosting swim lessons

Hay Fire east of Colome contained Friday morning
At approximately 10:45 last night, there was a hay fire at the Thieman hay lot east of Colome. Approximately between 350 and 400 hay bales were on fire according to Colome Fire Chief Glenn Sealey. The fire was contained between 9 and 10am this morning
Frontier Days Rodeo happening in White River this weekend
The 113th annual White River Frontier Days Rodeo will take place July 11th through the 13th. The rodeo will begin at 7pm the nights of July 11th and 12th. Slack on Sunday the 13th will begin at 10am. The rodeo will feature mutton bustin’, ranch broncs and a candy scramble for the kids.
