Day 2 of State Track and Field wrapped up Friday at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. Here’s a look at some of the local highlights:
Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake was runner up in the girls Class B 2 mile run in 11:39:77. Her teammates, Lily Baker and Alli McCord were fourth and fifth respectively. Sophia Bauld of Burke was sixth, while her teammate, Kailee Frank was 9th.
- Grace Phillips of Chamberlain was 9th in the girls class A 2 mile run in 11:52:63
- Luke Barretto of Gregory was 10th in the boys class B two mile run in 10:16:32.
- In the girls Class B 800, Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake placed seventh in 2:23:63.
- In the boys class B 800, Jones County’s Adrik Schoon was runner up in 1:59. Finn Adams of Gregory was fifth in 2:01:44.
- In the girls class B high jump, Burke’s Emily Diekmann was sixth overall with a leap of 5 flat.
- In the girls class A discus, Piper Powell of Chamberlain was eighth with a throw of 117-02.
- In the girls class b javelin, Gregory’s Dani VanDerWerff placed fifth with a throw of 120-03.
- In the boys class B High Jump, Gregory’s Colt Keiser was runner up along with Aksel Ehlers of Lyman, as both guys finished with jumps of 6-2, and Dawsen Volmer of Lyman was eighth with a leap of 5-10.
- In the boys class b javelin, Gregory’s Cole Serr was runner up with a throw of 165-06.. Gunner Watson of White River was fifth with a 156-06 throw, and Jackson Bolander of Gregory was ninth with a throw of 150-07.
- In the boys class b pole vault, Lyman’s Aksel Ehlers was fourth with a 12-09.
- In the boys class A 800, Winner’s Kellen Brozik was 12th in a time of 2:00:96, and his teammate, Karson Keiser, was 17th in a time of 2:03:39.
