A couple of sales tax seminars will take place on Thursday, March 16th at the Holiday Inn Express Conference Room in Winner. A sales tax meeting will take place from 9am to noon and will cover topics such as how and when to apply for a tax license, exemptions from sales and use taxes, use tax, municipal taxes among a variety of other topics. There will be a seminar from 1 to 4 that day that will focus on contractor’s excise tax. The workshop will covers topics such as how and when to apply for a contractors’ excise tax license, projects for qualifying utilities and governmental agencies, sales and use tax among other topics.
