Plenty of baseball and girls softball took place last night. In Softball, the Winner 12 and under team beat Colome, 20-8. The Winner 14 and unders split with Gregory. Gregory won 14-8 in game one and Winner was victorious in a high scoring game two, 19-10. The Winner 18 and under softball team went 1-1 last night as they beat Pierre’s first team, 6-1. Kyran Meek hit an inside-the-park homerun for Winner! The Winner girls then fell to Pierre’s second team, 15-3. Elsewhere in girls softball, the Burke 8 and under Royals fell to Bonesteel/Butte, 2-0. The Lyman ten and under girls picked up a 7-0 win over Gregory on Wednesday. In 8 and under softball last night, Lyman was able to win a low scoring game over Gregory, 2-0. The Burke Royals 12 and under team grabbed a 10-0 win over Valentine while the Burke 14 and unders beat Valentine, 14-2. In Legion Baseball Wednesday, Gregory County was able to defeat Valentine, 4-2 and Winner/Colome edged Mission, 6-5. The Lyman County Junior Teeners beat Colome, 7-5. The Lyman Teeners beat Colome 8-6. The Wagner Junior Teeners were victorious last night over Platte by a final of 6-2 and the Wagner teeners beat Platte, 24-3.
