State Cheer and Dance was held Friday night in Watertown. Sioux Valley was the grand champion in cheer with 279 points. Dell Rapids St. Mary was runner up with 220.50. Platte Geddes/AC/DC was fourth while Winner Area was fifth. Beresford won the hip hop division with 284 points. Tea Area was second and Winner Area was third while Gregory finished fourth. In the Pom division, Dakota Valley won with 296 points. Platte Geddes/AC/DC was third while Tea Area and Winner Area tied for fourth. In the Small/Cheer division, Dakota Valley was victorious with 210 points. Dell Rapids was fourth. In the large/cheer, Sioux Valley won with 279 points. Dell Rapids was runner up with 220.5 points. Platte Geddes/AC/DC was fourth and Winner Area was fifth. The Grand Champion in Dance was Dakota Valley with 297.25 points. Tea Area was third, Platte Geddes/AC/DC was fourth and Winner Area was fifth while Gregory was sixth.
