State Wrestling results

It was another strong showing for our area wrestlers at State Wrestling. Winner Area saw Kaden Keiser (defeated Jadyn Coller of Philip Area) and Sam Kruger (beat Spencer Hansen of Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes)  win state championships Saturday night. Winner Area finished second as a team in the class B standings behind Canton. Burke/Gregory finished fourth as a team while Kimball/White Lake/Platte/Geddes was seventh.  Micah DeBoer of Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon beat Achilles Willuweit of Winner Area for the heavyweight championship. Kellyn March of Canton beat Riley Orel for a state championship while Jaden Dominisse of Canton beat Trevor Peters in the finals. Winner Area’s Preston Norrid finished fourth, Kaleb Osborn finished fifth while Jack Kruger was fourth in his weight class. For Burke/Gregory, Jackson Eklund won his championship match! Owen Hansen finished runner up for the Storm while Finn Hanson was seventh. Frank Even won his third place match on Saturday. In Class A, Chamberlain’s Nash Hutmacher won his fourth heavyweight state championship on Saturday night as he made quick work of Russ Miller of Brookings. Dominic Santiago finished seventh, Gabe Skustad was third, Remington Rossow fourth, Jasiah Thompson also finished fourth while Chamberlain finished sixth as a team. Stevens won the Class A team title.
