The Tea Area Track and Field Invite was held on Tuesday. Here are some of the local highlights for Winner:
*Aaron Monk was victorious in the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.23
*Kade Watson was runner up in the 800
*Jenna Hammerbeck was runner up in the triple jump and she was third in the long jump.
*Kelsey Sachtjen was third in the high jump
*Shawn Hammerbeck was sixth in the shot put
*Jenaya Schrader was fourth in the discus
*Winner was runner up in the boys 4 x 8 relay
*Winner was runner up in the girls 4 x 4 relay

At the Great Plains Conference Track and Field Meet Tuesday in Gayville, Centerville won the girls team title while Freeman/Academy Marion won the boys team title. Burke was runner up as a team on the girls side and boys side. Piper Hanson of Burke won the 100 and 300 meter hurdle events. Kailee Frank of Burke won the mile. Ben Witt won the long jump. Sawyer Tietgen won the triple jump while Burke won the boys medley.

The Pierre Golf Invite was held on Tuesday. Rapid City Stevens won the team title with a 329 score. Winner Area was 9th with a 409. Olivia Braun of Aberdeen was the medalist with a 77. Rylee Root was Winner Area’s top golfer as she carded a 93 for 25th.
