Roper Moore of Tripp County tied for second in boys cutting with a score of 147. Seth Heath of Tripp County tied for fifth in boys cutting with a score of 143.5. Roper Moore tied for 10th in reined cow horse, while Seth Heath placed 12th in reined cow horse.

River Regional Rodeo Results

Over 100 contestants competed at the Tripp County Fairgrounds this past weekend in Winner. In the first go of cutting, Roper Moore for the Tripp County Rodeo team earned the buckle, followed by Seth Heath for the Tripp County team in second place.  In the second go, Seth Heath earned another second place finish. In the reined cow horse, In the first go, Seth Heath earned second place.  In the second go, Roper Moore received first place followed by a second place finish from Seth Heath. The following local rodeo athletes for the Tripp County team  earned points in their perspective events.

First Go:

Tie Down Roping: Seth Heath, 6th; Ash Kaiser, 10th.

Barrel Racing: Athena Willuweit, 3rd;Draya Haase, 9th.

Goat Tying: Athena Willuweit, 6th, Draya Haase, 8th.

Earning All Around for the First Performance was Seth Heath.  Earning Reserve All Around in the Second Performance was Seth Heath and Athena Willuweit.

State Finals begin on June 16th in Ft. Pierre at the Stanley County Rodeo Grounds.
