It’s the last couple of days of the 2025 Mid Dakota Fair that’s happening at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner. The 4-H Swine, Sheep and Market Goat Shows will all happen today beginning at 8am this morning. The Breeding Beef and Market Beef Shows are some of the many things that will happen on Saturday.

Golden West to hold a pool party in Winner on August 13th
Golden West will be hosting a free pool party and picnic at the Winner City Pool on Wednesday, August 13th from 5 to 8pm. Kids can stop by and enjoy an evening of swimming and a hot dog meal at no cost. There will also be prize drawings throughout the evening too.

Burke Area Farmers Market to return tomorrow
The Burke Area Farmers Market will hold their Dog Days Market tomorrow beginning at 5:30pm at the Burke City Park. The Platte Locker Food Truck will be serving dinner for the evening. You have the chance to checkout at least 16 vendors tomorrow!
Severe weather rolls through Central South Dakota Tuesday
Severe Weather once again made an appearance this afternoon and evening in Central South Dakota. Warnings started to roll out just prior to 4:30. Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Lyman, Charles Mix, Tripp, Gregory and Brule Counties. Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour were reported, along with quarter size hail across the area.
