Boys Golf

At the Pierre Invite on Tuesday at Hillsview Golf Course, Cooper Shuman of Brandon Valley was the medalist as he shot a 68. Max Vincelli of Brandon Valley was fifth with a 73. Landon Baker of Tea Area was seventh with a 75. Brody Calhoon was Winner’s top golfer as he shot a 77 to finish 14th. Carter Craven of Winner shot an 81. Brandon Valley won the team title by 7 strokes over Yankton. Tea Area was sixth and Winner was 12th as a team.

Gun Club in Winner to hold course in September

The Rosebud Arrow Rod and Gun Club in Winner is sponsoring a Basic Pistol and South Dakota Enhanced Carry Course on Saturday, September 19th from 9:00 to 5:00.  The Class fee is $150.00 for first time applications.  It’s $75.00 for Enhanced Carry 5 year Renewals.  Check your renewal dates, as the class can be taken 365 days prior to expiration.  Registration forms can be found at Jeff’s Gun Vault, Rosebud Arrow Rod and Gun Club and Runnings.  Pre-Registration is required.  Please call or text John at 840-9478 with any questions or to request a registration form be mailed to you.

Monday Boys Golf Results

At the Dell Rapids Invite today, Harper Schnabel of Roncalli was the medalist shooting a 4 under par, 67. Chase McQuirk was Chamberlain’s top golfer as he shot an 80 and finished 23rd. Vermillion won the team title by seven strokes over Dakota Valley. Chamberlain was 16th as a team.

Pravecek to be inducted into Shooting Sports Hall of Fame!

Congratulations to Tim Pravecek of Winner! Tim has been selected to be inducted into the South Dakota 4-H Shooting Sports Volunteer Hall of Fame! Pravecek will be recognized at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron on Sunday, September 6th. A reception and induction ceremony for this year’s Hall of Fame Inductees will begin at 4pm in the North Classroom in the Nordby Exhibit Hall.
