The University of South Dakota Women’s Basketball team saw their season come to an end Wednesday night in the Fab Four of the WNIT in Vermillion. USD fell to Illinois State, 67-60. Molly Joyce led USD with 16 points. The Lady Coyotes end their season with a record of 26 wins and 10 losses.

Chamberlain to hold Scholarthon next week
Chamberlain senior students will hold their 2nd annual Scholarthon on April 8th from 11am to 2pm. Organizers of the event have a goal of raising $20,000 to help provide scholarships for present and future Chamberlain graduates. You will be able to livestream the event on Chamberlain’s Cub Nation Youtube channel.

At the DWU Indoor Meet on Tuesday in Mitchell, Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake won the boys 200 in 23.12. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake won the girls mile in 5:36:31. White River’s Elijah Haukaas was runner up in the boys 2 mile. Chamberlain’s Xavier Donovan won the boys 60 meter hurdles in 9.15. Chamberlain won the girls 4 x 8 relay in 9:32:69.
Kindergarten Round-Up in Platte tomorrow
Platte/Geddes Elementary School will host Kindergarten Round-Up tomorrow starting at 8:30am. It’s for kids who will reach age 5 by September 1st of this year. They will screen for developmental readiness and gather information. If you have questions, call 337-2468.

Illinois State over George Washington, 61-53. Illinois State will take on USD Wednesday night at 7pm in the Fab Four of the WNIT.
Winner graduate, Bella Swedlund, announced on Monday that she is transferring from Valparaiso to play College Basketball at Mount Marty University. Bella’s sister, Olivia, announced earlier this year that she will also be playing college basketball at Mount Marty as well.

With the win, the Lady Coyotes march on to the Fab Four, where they will meet the winner of Monday night’s winner between Illinois State and George Washington. The details of the semifinal game featuring the Lady Coyotes will be announced Monday night.

Winner to hold Spring Cleanup in April
The City of Winner will hold it’s annual Spring Cleanup the week of April 13th. The city is asking residents within city limits to please separate all items and have curbside or in the alley by Monday, April 13th. No plastic or tires will be accepted.
