At the Madison Boys Golf Invite on Thursday, Lucas Daggett of Roncalli was the medalist shooting a 77. Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain was runner up with a 78. Roncalli won the team title by 14 strokes over West Central. Chamberlain was 13th as a team.

Winner High School Student Council accepting nominations for Homecoming Parade Marshal
Winner High School Student Council members are looking for the perfect candidate to be the 2026 Homecoming Parade Marshal. If you have an individual who you feel deserves this honor, please send a detailed description of the individual’s background and why you feel he or she deserves to be Parade Marshal. The Rosebud Arrow Rod and Gun Club in Winner is sponsoring a Basic Pistol and South Dakota Enhanced Carry Course on Saturday, September 19th from 9:00 to 5:00. The Class fee is $150.00 for first time applications. It’s $75.00 for Enhanced Carry 5 year Renewals. Check your renewal dates, as the class can be taken 365 days prior to expiration. Friday night, we will kickoff our high school football coverage for the season! On 1260, Scott will have coverage of the Hot Springs at Winner game. On 93.7FM, Chris will be in Corsica for Burke at Corsica/Stickney. Pregame coverage for both contests will begin at around 6:30pm.
Blood Drive coming up Thursday in Presho

The West Central Boys Golf Invite was held today in Hartford. Ben Akin of Elk Point/Jefferson was the medalist shooting a 66. Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain was fourth shooting a 73. Brody Calhoon of Winner was 11th shooting a 75. Dakota Valley won the team title by one stroke over Vermillion, while Winner tied for 9th.
Harvest Festival set for September 19th in Gregory
The Gregory/Dallas Chamber has their Harvest Festival coming up on September 19th at the Gregory City Park. Events will get underway at 2pm. Soup and pie tasting will run from 5 to 7. If you would like to make a soup or bake a pie, call the Chamber at 835-8270.
