The Spencer Gun Show will be held this Saturday and Sunday at the Spencer Community Hall in Spencer, Nebraska. Join them on Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and again on Sunday from 9 to 3. The cost is $5 at the door, and ages 12 and under are free.

SDSU Extension to host free training in Winner tomorrow
SDSU Extension will host a free private applicator training session in Winner tomorrow from 1:30 to 4:30. The training will be available both online and at multiple in-person locations statewide. In Winner, the session will be hosted at the Winner Regional Extension Center at 325 S. Monroe Street.

Blood Drive in Winner this week
A two day blood drive will be held in the city of Winner later this week. The first date is Wednesday, January 21st, from 10am to 3pm at the Winner City Office. If you cannot make it to the blood drive on the 21st, they will hold another blood drive on Thursday, January 22nd at the Winner City Office from 1 to 6pm.
Red Hills Last Chance Saloon hosting memorial pitch tournament today
The Jim Gregg Memorial Pitch Tournament will take place this afternoon at Red Hills Last Chance in Carter beginning at 1pm. Registration will start at noon. It is open to two person teams, and the entry is fifty dollars per team.

Lyman County, S.D.- Two people died and several were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, five miles west of Reliance, SD.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2025 Kenworth was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near mile marker 244 and had slowed down due to a possible crash in front of him. A 2008 Mercury Sable collided with the rear end of the semi, and a chain reaction of collisions including a 2025 Ford F-150, a 2013 Ford F-150, and a 2010 GMC Yukon occurred.
The two front seat passengers in the Mercury Sable were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other passengers in the vehicle sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and two passengers in the 2025 Ford F-150 sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries while a fourth passenger was uninjured.
The driver and a passenger in the 2013 Ford F-150 both received serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The 2010 GMC Yukon sustained minor injuries, and the driver of the Kenworth had no injuries.
Weather conditions with whiteout visibility were a contributing factor in the crash.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

Clay County, S.D.- One person died Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash two miles south of Centerville, SD.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2025 Ram 3500 was traveling westbound on SD Highway 46 near the intersection of Highway 19. At the same time, the driver of a 2011 Subaru Legacy was traveling southbound on Highway 19, approaching the intersection at Highway 46. The Subaru entered the intersection and collided with the Ram. Both vehicles came to rest in the southwest ditch.
The driver of the Subaru sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the Ram was not injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
