Cougar Club Soccer signups are ongoing in Burke. The deadline is April 10th. Forms can be picked up in the school office. Eligible players are anyone that is 4 before September 1st of 2025, and if you are still 12 by March 31st of 2025. The cost is $20 for the spring season, or $25 for the spring and fall seasons.

The Gregory Track and Field Invite that was to happen this Friday, April 4th has been moved to next Thursday, April 10th. Javelin will get underway at 1pm, field events will start at 2pm and running events will begin at 3:30 at Mike Dacy Field.
There will be a benefit fundraiser for Todd Halsne on Saturday, April 5th at the Burke VFW. The meal will be served from 5 to 7pm, and live music that night by Sam Drey. A silent auction will happen from 5 to 7, and the live auction will begin that night at 7:30pm.
The DWU Track and Field Meet was held Tuesday in Mitchell. Here’s a look at some of the many local highlights:
*Winner’s Shawn Hammerbeck won the boys shot put with a meet best 50 feet and 7.25 inches.
*Winner won the boys 4 x 4 relay in a time of 3:38:79.
*Rylen Kramp of Platte/Geddes won the girls pole vault with a meet best 8 feet, 9 inches
*Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake was runner up in the boys 200
*Winner’s Karson Keiser was runner up in the boys 800
*Winner’s Austin Blare was runner up in the boys 60 meter hurdles
*The Winner girls were runner up in the 4 x 4 Relay
*Burke was runner up in the girls 4 x 8 relay
Community Connections in Winner will celebrate 50 years of business on May 15th! From 3:30 to 7pm, there will be 50 raffle items up for grabs, along with snacks and drinks provided. A bouncy house for the kids will also be setup as well. Be sure to swing by and congratulate the staff on 50 great years here in Tripp County!
