Murdo will hold an annual youth fishing tournament on Saturday, May 23rd at the Murdo North Dam. It’s open to kids ages 4 to 12. Registration will begin at 9am, and the tournament starts at 10am. Lunch will for all who attend.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte won the boys team title with 137 points. Todd County was second with 123 points and White River was third with 108 points. Todd County won the girls team title with 138 points, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte was second with 127 points. Ciante Black Spotted Horse of Todd County won the boys 800 in 2:07:13. Jacob Allen of Todd County won the boys 110 hurdles in 16:57. Bryson Edwards of Todd County won the boys 300 hurdles in 42:12. Edwards also won the boys high jump with a leap of 6 feet. Todd County won the boys 400 meter relay in 45:50. Todd County won the boys 800 meter relay in 1:41:07. Marcus Harris of Todd County won the boys long jump with a leap of 19-2.25. White River won the boys 1600 meter relay in 3:38:58. White River also won the boys 3200 meter relay in 9:08:77. White River claimed victory in the boys sprint medley relay in 3:46:17. Nathaniel Middletent of Lower Brule won the boys discus with a throw of 128-6. Liam White Hat of White River won the boys javelin with a throw of 133-9. Winner’s Langston Dutt won the boys shot put with a throw of 39-6. Todd County won the girls 400 meter relay in 54:98. Todd County also won the girls 800 meter relay in 2:00:82. Todd County won the girls 3200 meter relay in 13:28:67. Todd County’s Lizee Dubray won the girls discus with a throw of 96-9, and she also won the girls javelin with a throw of 78-11.
Boys and Girls Golf
At the Avon/Bon Homme Invite, Kashius Tucker of Bon Homme was the medalist in the boys tournament shooting a 68. Burke’s Brody Indahl was runner up with a 72. Jye Bailey of Platte/Geddes was third with a 74. Gregory’s Jacob Klein was sixth shooting a 79. Bon Homme won the team title by eight strokes over Platte/Geddes while Burke was third. In the girls tournament, Leah Schuman of Platte/Geddes was the medalist shooting an 87. Her teammate, Mallory Gant, was third with a 96. Paige Beckers of Burke was sixth with a 100. Platte/Geddes won the team title by 22 strokes over Scotland/Menno.

Nebraska over USD, 4-1. USD will face elimination today as they play Louisville at 2:30 in Lincoln. Nebraska will play Grand Canyon today at Noon.

At the Madison Invite,
Kaitlin Strain of St. Thomas More was the medalist as she shot an 82. Chamberlain’s Trey Speer finished runner up with an 83. St. Thomas More won the team title by four strokes over Vermillion. Chamberlain was sixth as a team.
At the Valentine Boys Golf Invite on Thursday,
Logan Brabec of O’Neill was the medalist as he shot a 73. Keian Fischer of North Central was runner up with a 75. Tanner Two Strike of Valentine was third with a 77. O’Neill won the team title by 10 strokes over Valentine, North Central was third.

At the Lezlie Blasius Meet in Kimball,
Lincoln Kranig of Kimball/White Lake won the boys 100 in 11.42. Kranig also won the boys 200 in 23.00. Chamberlain’s Grace Phillips won the girls 400 in 1:01:53. Phillips also won the two mile in 11:54:78. Chamberlain’s Isaac Shepherd won the boys 400 in 52.12. Shepherd also won the boys javelin with a throw of 159-10. Alex Ekstrum of KWL won the boys 800 in 2:18:62. Darron Moeller of KWL won the boys mile in 5:11:32. He also won the boys 2 mile in 10:32:50. Xavier Donovan of Chamberlain won the boys 110 hurdles in 16.47. Chamberlain won the boys 4 x 1 relay in 45.77. Kimball/White Lake won the boys 4 x 2 relay in 1:35:22. Chamberlain won the girls 4 x 4 relay in 4:17:86. Piper Powell of Chamberlain won the girls discus with a throw of 112-03. Tayten Johnson of Chamberlain won the boys high jump with a leap of 5-11. Burke’s Daytona Paris won the girls triple jump with a leap of 32-07.50.
At the Western Great Plains Conference Meet in Martin on Thursday,
Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery won the girls 100 in 12.43. Montgomery also won the girls 200 in 26.04. White River won the boys 4 x 1 relay in 45.88. BreAna Aske of Jones County won the girls 400 in 59.96. Conor Samco of Lyman won the boys pole vault with a meet best, 9-06. Des McGhee of Lyman won the boys javelin with a throw of 130-10.
