The Chamberlain Middle School Explorers are holding their 25th annual Explorers vs Dirty Cars Event today from 9am to 3pm at the Riverview parking lot. The Explorers are raising funds to help restore restrooms along the River to School Trail, and their goal is to wash 100 vehicles. You can make a pledge by contacting Doug Knust at 680-9999.

Todd County won the boys team title with 83 points. Lyman was second with 78 points and Winner was third with 73 points. Kadoka won the girls team title with 78 points, Wall was second with 74 and Winner was third with 64 points. Conor Samco of Lyman won the boys 100 in 11:67. Samco also won the boys 200 in 24:58. White River’s Bryson One Star was the medalist in the boys tournament shooting a 72. Addy Miller of Philip was the medalist in the girls tournament shooting a 91. Tayah Anderson of Jones County was sixth shooting a 100. Hill City won the boys team title. White River was fourth and Lyman was fifth. Philip won the girls team title.

Benefit for Amy Moeller to happen tomorrow
A benefit for Amy Moeller will take place tomorrow at the Witten Community Hall. A meal will be served at 5pm, followed by a silent auction from 5 to 6:30, before the live auction starts at 7pm. Monetary donations can be made at First Fidelity Bank in Winner.

Community Garage Sales coming up in Winner

At the Pierre Invite, Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central was the medalist as she carded a 1 under par, 70. Winner Area’s Gracie Root placed eighth as she shot an 81. Payton Sargent of Winner Area shot a 97, while Reese Halligan of Winner Area shot a 103. Aberdeen Central won the team title, while Winner Area was seventh as a team.
At the Dakota Valley Invite, Katie Betsworth of Dakota Valley was the medalist as she shot a 73. Chamberlain’s Trey Speer was 20th as she shot an 89. Sioux Falls Christian won the team title, while Chamberlain was seventh as a team.

At the Danielsen Relays in Salem, Gregory’s Asia VanDerWerff won the girls 300 hurdles in 49.15. Dani VanDerWerff of Gregory won the girls javelin with a throw of 129-02. Colt Keiser of Gregory won the boys high jump with a leap of 6-03.

Flag Auction set for next week in Presho
