The Region 3B Boys Wrestling Tournament was held Saturday at the Winner Armory. Bon Homme/Avon won the team title with 211.5 team points. Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes was runner up with 185 points, while Winner was third with 180.5 points. Burke/Gregory was seventh with 89.5 points, while Lyman was 10th with 38.5 points. Winner’s Jadelynn McCall went 3-2 on the day and finished fifth. Rachel Michl of Winner went 1-2 and finished fifth. Nadia Millian of Winner went 0-2. Burke/Gregory’s Daytona Paris is headed to state as she placed third at 130. Avery Martinez of Lyman punched her ticket to state as she finished fourth place. Valonny Walking Bull of Chamberlain placed second at 170 and will compete at State. Zoey Donovan of Chamberlain placed fourth and is state bound. Unique Clairmont of Todd County/White River was a champion at 235. Citori Edwards of Todd County/White River is headed to state after placing fourth at 145. Amaya Martinez of Todd County/White River is also headed to state after placing third at 170. Gwen Leading Fighter for Todd County/White River punched her ticket to state after placing fourth at 190. Aberdeen Central won the region team title with 228 points. Todd County/White River was seventh with 74 points, Burke/Gregory was 10th with 40 points, while Chamberlain was 11th with 39 points, Lyman was 13th with 26 points and Winner was 15th with 18.5 points.
The Tripp County 4-H Program is looking to fill a 4-H summer assistant position. Applicants must be 21, have 4-H experience and working with youth.
