Volleyball

First round region volleyball in Winner on Monday

The first round of Region 7A Volleyball will be taking place inside the Winner National Guard Armory on Monday, October 30th. Gates will open at 4:15. At 5pm, four seeded Bennett County will take on five seeded Red Cloud. At around 6:30, three seeded Little Wound will battle six seeded Todd County followed by two seeded Winner facing off against eight seeded St. Francis at around 8pm.  Pine Ridge will host the winner of game one on Thursday, November 2nd. The winner of games two and three on Monday will meet on Thursday of next week in Pine Ridge for the right to play in the Sweet 16.

Raiders to battle Warner tomorrow night

The Lyman Raider Football team will be on the road for their second round playoff football game tomorrow night when they battle the Warner Monarchs. Warner (7-2) cruised to a 55-0 win over Potter County in their opening round game of the postseason. Lyman (6-3) was able to take down the Philip Scotties last Thursday, 30-14 in Presho. Keep in mind that kickoff in Warner on Thursday will be at 6:30 central. Best of luck to the Raiders!

Wednesday reminders

Don’t forget that the Tripp County Auditor’s Office in Winner is closed today for election software training. Colome is holding a blood drive from noon-5:30 at the Colome American Legion. To make an appointment you can call Vicki at 842-0270. There will be a bazaar and smorgasbord at the Reliance Methodist Hall this evening from 5 to 7pm. They will be serving roast beef, fried chicken and ham at the event.

Haunted Houses setup in Winner and Gregory!

The Winner Spirit Gems will be hosting a “Creatures of the Night Unite” haunted house at 126 east fourth street in Winner this Friday and Saturday from 7-11pm, and on Sunday from 7-9pm. Gregory’s Haunted House “Terrifying Turns” will be held on Friday and Saturday from 7-10pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium Community Room. It is being sponsored by the Gregory Community Club and proceeds will be shared with the after prom party committee.
