Jackrabbit Football on Magic 93 Saturday

The South Dakota State Jackrabbit Football team will look to bounce back after their loss to Northern Iowa at home last weekend when they play at Missouri State this Saturday at 2pm. Coverage on 93.7FM will get underway at 12:50 as Doski will get you ready for the showdown with his prelude to the pre-game as he will talk to a local guest who has ties to South Dakota State University.l

Cowboys to host Sunshine Bible tomorrow night

The first round of the 9B Playoffs will take place Thursday night. Defending state champion Colome will host Sunshine Bible Academy at 7pm tomorrow. Sunshine Bible is 4-4 on the season as they have scored wins over Crazy Horse, Tiospa Zina, Lower Brule and Iroquois. The Cowboys (7-1) ended the regular season with a hard fought victory over Avon, 26-20. Junior Running Backs Jackson Kinzer and Chase Dufek have led Colome out of the backfield in rushing this season. We will provide you with numerous updates from the ballgame tomorrow night as we will have coverage from Gregory and Winner.

Couple of reminders for the week

Don’t forget the Todd County High School Cross Country team has extended their raffle on the blue roan stud quarter horse and on their star quilt. The drawing will be held this Thursday. All of the proceeds will go to the Cross Country team. Coming up this weekend, the Pukwana Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual pork feed and raffle on Saturday starting at 5pm at the Pukwana Fire Hall.

Cougars ready to battle Scotland tomorrow

Playoff football will take place tomorrow night in Scotland at 7pm as a pair of 4-4 9B schools will do battle. The Burke/South Central Cougars finished the regular season strong as they won 3 of their last 4. Burke/South Central saw its offense click on most cylinders in their regular season finale as they beat Alcester Hudson, 40-28. Sophomore Finn Hanson has led the Cougar rushing attack this year as he is averaging over seven yards per touch. The Highlanders have lost two of their last three as they enter the postseason. Scotland ended the regular season last Friday with a 48-8 victory over TDA/AC/DC. Scotland played Burke/South Central in week zero in Bonesteel. The Highlanders won that game 30-12.
