The Winner Volunteer Fire Department will hold a street dance tomorrow night on Winner’s Main Street. The Rude Band will begin playing in the 8pm hour. Cost to attend will be $10 admission and all ages are welcome. Those under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend until 10pm, and shuttle service will be available too.

Benefit Lunch to happen in Burke on Saturday
A free will lunch benefit for fifteen year old, Tyson Bohnet, will happen this Saturday, July 25th at the old Community Room in Burke from Noon to 5:30. Proceeds will help defray medical expenses for a back injury. They will be serving sandwiches, chips, beans and drinks.

Winner Fire Department to hold Poker Run next weekend
The 14th annual Winner Fire Department Poker Run will happen on Saturday, August 1st! Registration will go from 11am to Noon at the Winner Fire Department. They will leave town at 12:30. Prizes will be awarded at the Pheasant Bar at 6:30pm. It’s just $25 per ride, or $40 for a couple. All forms of transportation are invited to take part.

Winner to hold a blood drive tomorrow and Thursday
A two day community blood drive will take place at the Winner City Offices on Wednesday, July 22nd and Thursday, July 23rd. At the Burke Rodeo Golf Tournament Sunday at the Burke Golf Course, the team of Elijah Bailey and Tony Shattuck finished in first as they carded a 32.
In the Men’s and Women’s Open at the Bassett Country Club, Amanda Murphy finished in first in the women’s tournament shooting a 94. Keian Fischer finished first on the men’s side with a 71.
At the Willow Run Men’s Club Championship Sunday in Sioux Falls, Brock Murphy finished first shooting a 139 two round total. Rick Vandentop won the senior championship flight shooting a 147. Jeff Nagl was the net champion finishing with a 131. Julie Johnson won the women’s gross club championship flight shooting a 153. Cathy Maes won the women’s senior championship flight shooting a 200.
