A busy weekend on Country 1260

Tune in to Country 1260 for a what will be a busy weekend! Friday night, Scott and Brett will have coverage of the Winner at West Central game starting at 6:30. Saturday, Chris will have another edition of Coaches Corner start up at 9am. Saturday night at 6:10, we will have coverage get underway for the Western Arkansas at Nebraska game. Sunday at 1pm, Sportsmax will be back as well!

Mud races coming up this weekend

The annual Winner Mud Races will happen this Saturday, September 2nd at the track south of town as part of Winner’s Labor Day weekend celebration. Gates will open at 11am and registration will end at noon as the races get going at 1. They will be MSMRA sanctioned races with MSMRA rules. For more information you can call Charles Dubray at 841-1889.

ALC now open in Mission

The Rosebud Economic Development Corporation and Rosebud Lending are proud to announce the opening of Antelope Lake Communications! ALC is a call center specializing in handling customer service calls in the financial service industry. Redco is now seeking qualified applicants to fill twelve customer service agent positions, a manager and a supervisor. Cross Country from Tuesday

The McCook Central Invite was held in boys and girls cross country on Tuesday. Winning the girls race was Josie Olsen of Deubrook Area with a time of 19:36. Sidda Schuyler of Winner Area came in second with a time of 19:47. Jaclyn Laprath finished in the top ten for Winner Area as she was eighth overall with a time of 21:18. In the boys race yesterday in Salem, that was won by West Central’s Braden Peters as he had a time of 16:07. Burke/South Central’s Kray Person was second as he had a time of 16:34. Jackson Liewer of Burke/South Central finished in eighth place with a time of 17:57. Winner Area’s Kade Watson was tenth with a time of 18:23. At the Gregory Invite on Tuesday, White River won the boys team title with 10 points. Aaron Voight of Gregory was first overall with a time of 17:44. The girls team title was won by Jones County as they had 13 points. Jollie Dugan of Jones County won the race in a time of 23:44.

Mission Sunrise Apartment reminder

Due to conditions of the streets in the Sunrise Apartment Complex and the construction on the highway through Mission, the Todd County School District will not be entering the complex to pickup students. Children need to be at the social services department parking lot by 8am to catch the bus. For more information contact the Todd County School District Bus Shop at 605-856-3509.

Goodwill Trailer to be in Platte this week

The Goodwill trailer will be at the Platte Food Center parking lot from August 29th to September 12th. Goodwill accepts the following donations for resale: good, clean house ware, small furniture, clothing, shoes, electronics in working condition, cell phones and accessories. Coming up in October, there will be a blood drive at the Platte Community Center on October 10th from 12:30-6pm.
