The Burke/South Central Cougars will look for their first win of the football season tomorrow night when they play at Gayville-Volin. Burke/South Central fell to Scotland, 30-12 in Bonesteel last week. Brock Karbo was 11 of 18 passing, he threw for a 116 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Tyrone Mizner caught both touchdowns for the Cougars as he finished with four catches for 38 yards. The Raiders are playing in their season opener this week after being idle in week 0. Gayville Volin is in the same region as Burke/South Central and did receive votes in this week’s 9B Media Poll.

It will be another busy weekend of golf in our area. Four tournaments will take place on Saturday: The Buches/Bankwest Tournament in Gregory, the Ryder Cup in Murdo, a two man tournament in Presho and a two person scramble will be held in Chamberlain. Sunday, a one person scramble will take place at the Ainsworth Golf Course. Contact one of the courses today to get a team signed up!
