Results from Boys Golf in Hartford Monday

The West Central Boys Golf Invite was held Monday in Hartford. Trey Hansen of Vermillion was the medalist as he carded a 68. Chase McQuirk was Chamberlain’s top golfer as he tied for fourth shooting a 73. London Houska of Chamberlain tied for sixth with a 74. Carter Craven was Winner Area’s top golfer as he shot an 84. Dakota Valley and Vermillion tied for the team title. Chamberlain was seventh as a team and Winner Area was eleventh.

The team of Justin Zeigler and Erin Earley won the Ron Waller Memorial Member Guest Tournament at the Winner Country Club as they carded a 130 two day total.

At the Couples Championship at Elmwood in Sioux Falls, the team of Kim Tyler and Tim Dwire were victorious as they shot a 65.

 

Amateur Baseball

The Parkston Rays defeated the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks in the State B Championship game, 10-8.

The Harrisburg Woodies defeated the Renner Monarchs for the State A Championship, 4-3.

 

At the State 4-H Rodeo in Fort Pierre, Seth Heath of Tripp County was a state champion in tie down roping. Jakob Heath of Tripp County was second in the average in the boys flag race. Heath also placed second in the average in boys goat tying. Athena Willuweit of Tripp County was reserve champion in breakaway.
