The T4 Foundation in Winner will host a fall festival on Sunday, October 5th at the Winner City Park from 11:30am to 2pm. There will be pumpkin decorating, food vendors setup, photo ops, crafts and plenty more to explore that day.

CPR Class to happen in Winner next week
Winner Regional Health will be hosting a heartsaver CPR Class on Wednesday, October 1st from 5:30-8pm. You must pre-register by contacting Beth Storms at 605-842-7193.

At the Platte/Geddes Invite, Silas Holdeman of Mitchell Christian won the boys race in 16:27:39. Elijah Haukaas of White River was fifth, while Gregory’s Luke Barretto was sixth. Londyn Schroeder of Mitchell won the girls race in 20:50:68. Berklee Mills of Platte/Geddes was fifth while Grace Steffen of Burke was sixth.
Volleyball
At the Sanford Pentagon Tournament in Sioux Falls, Winner won their pool as they defeated Ethan in three sets, before they took down Mt Vernon/Plankinton in three sets.
In bracket play, Winner defeated Wagner in two sets, Winner then beat Hill City in three sets. In the championship match of their division, Hitchcock/Tulare defeated Winner in three sets.

In the end of the season tournament at the Bassett Country Club, the team of Clay and Kayla Fischer won after a three way playoff as they shot a 60.
At Fredrick Peak Golf Course in Valentine, the team of Riley Wrage, Loudan Steffes, Pat Mehrens and Troy Bennett won the Marty Jordan Memorial Tournament as they shot 15 under par.

Event to happen at Chamberlain Fire Hall next week
The Chamberlain/Oacoma Volunteer Fire Department will hold a bottled water drive on Wednesday, October 1st from 6 to 8pm at the Chamberlain Fire Hall. There will also be a fire extinguisher giveaway that night as well.

Trysten Eide of MVP was the medalist Thursday at the Plankinton Invite as he shot a 75. London Houska of Chamberlain was runner up with a 76, while Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain was third with a 79. Winner Area’s top golfer was Brody Calhoon as he shot an 81. MVP won the team title, Chamberlain was second and Winner Area was third.

At the Clark Invite, Dylan Gerdes of Madison won the boys race in 17:37. Chamberlain’s Liam Gill placed fifth. Flandreau’s Faith Wiese won the girls race in 18:27:35. Chamberlain’s Grace Phillips was runner up in 19:15:33.

Fall Festival set for next weekend in Winner
The Winner Catholic Church will hold their annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 5th at St. Mary’s Hall. It will be carry out and delivery only from 4:30 to 6:30. There won’t be any tickets this year, just come and pay at the door. It will be $15 per meal as they will be serving a full turkey dinner.
