A ‘tougher than nails’ trail ride will take place on Saturday, October 25th at the Dallas Horseman’s Club Arena beginning at 11am. A supper will be served that day starting at 4pm at the Dallas Fire Hall. This is a fundraiser for Suncatcher Therapeutic Riding Academy.

At the Region 3B Meet in Burke, Silas Holdeman of Mitchell Christian won the boys race in 16:30. Luke Barreto of Gregory placed fourth while Darron Moeller of Kimball/White Lake was seventh. Mitchell Christian won the boys team title, Freeman was second and Gregory was third. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake won the girls race in 19:30. Abigail Engel of Gregory placed 8th while Grace Steffen of Burke was 10th. Kimball/White Lake won the girls team title, Mitchell Christian was second and Burke was third.
At the Region 5B Meet in Philip, Lucille Ahart of Newell won the girls race in 21:09:05. Lemmon won the girls team title. Jack Peterson of Philip won the boys race in 16:26:28. Elijah Haukaas of White River placed fifth. Philip won the boys team title.
At the Region 4B Meet in Gettysburg, Kendal Uttecht of Wolsey Wessington won the girls race in 19:13:30. BreAna Aske of Jones County placed fourth. Herreid/Selby won the girls team title. Gavin Hirsch of Herreid/Selby won the boys race in 16:12:20. North Central won the boys team title.
Hunter’s Breakfast coming up this weekend in Winner
A hunters breakfast will take place this weekend at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner on Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 11am. It’s all for a free will offering as they will be serving up pancakes, ham, sausage, eggs, coffee, milk and juice.

Benefit happening today for Dean Burger
A benefit lunch for Dean Burger will take place today from 11am to 2pm at the Ritz Plaza on Main Street in Winner. They will be serving a pulled pork sandwich meal, along with pulled pork nachos, super nachos for $12 each. All of the proceeds will support Dean as he recovers from cardiac arrest.
Beef Fest to happen Friday at Tripp County 4H Center
