The Winner Regional Foundation will present their annual Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 6th at Saint Mary’s Hall beginning at 5pm. This year’s theme is ‘The Roaring’ 20’s’. Power outage in Winner Tuesday afternoon
Early in the noon hour today, the wind blew off a roof of a newly constructed shed, south of the Winner Country Club. The roof landed on power lines, which caused a city wide power outage across the City of Winner. Power was restored a couple hours later.
Earlier this morning, there were also two separate power outages in Southern Tripp County. Rosebud Electric crews were on the scene and restored power prior to Noon today.

Kimball AAU Wrestling registration open through the end of today
Kimball Schools have AAU wrestling registration open through the end of the business day today. If you would like to get your kid registered, you can do so online at the school’s website- Kimball.k12.sd.us
Burke NHS holding food drive
The Burke National Honor Society is holding a food drive for the Wear N’ Wares Thrift Store Food Bank. Donations are being accepted until December 18th. Donations such as canned goods, paper products and cash are greatly appreciated.
FCS Playoffs get underway Saturday
The FCS College Football Selection Show took place Sunday. South Dakota State is the number 14 seed and will host New Hampshire at Noon on Saturday, November 29th. The winner of that game would then play at 3 seeded Montana on December 6th. USD is the eleventh seed. They will host Drake at Noon on the 29th. The winner of that game will then play at six seeded Mercer on December 6th. Both the Jackrabbits and Coyotes are on the opposite side of the bracket of top seeded North Dakota State.
Rosebud to hold Parade of Lights December 11th
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Thursday, December 11th beginning at 7pm at the Rosebud Fairgrounds. There will be cash prizes for the top four place finishers.
Mid Winter Fair coming up next Saturday in Gregory
The Annual Mid-Winter Fair is Saturday, Nov 29th from 9am to 4pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Over 40 venders will be on hand offering a wide range of products! Santa will be there from 12noon to 2pm. The Gregory After Prom will be serving have a breakfast and lunch stand.
