Frank Cutler retires

Platte/Geddes Coach Frank Cutler is retiring after a decorated 36 year coaching career. Cutler won 546 games in his 36 years as Head Basketball Coach. During those 36 seasons, Platte/Geddes made the State Tournament 13 times, including a State Championship in 2008. Platte/Geddes graduate, Carter Kemnitz, will take over as the Head Boys Basketball Coach for Platte/Geddes.

The 70th annual Rosebud Shrine Circus will be held at the Tripp County Fairgrounds in Winner tonight. There will be one performance at 8pm. Tickets are available at Winner True Value and at Bankwest. Concessions will be provided on the grounds. There will also be circus novelties for the kids too!

Winner’s Roper Moore and Sutton Vanderpol won round 1 of team roping in a time of 7.84. In Steer Wrestling, Winner’s Seth Heath was seventh in round 1 in a time of 14.64. Heath was seventh in round 1 of tie down roping in a time of 13.45. Taos Weborg of Gregory County was first in round 1 of bareback riding with a score of 71.

Winner’s Roper Moore won a state championship in boys cutting as he finished with a 152 score. Seth Heath placed fourth. Both Roper and Seth have qualified for Nationals next month in Rock Springs. In the short go of reined cow horse, Roper placed seventh, while Seth placed 10th.
