The USD Lady Coyote Women’s Basketball team will host Northern Arizona tomorrow night in the second round of the WNIT. The Lady Coyotes back on Friday won their first round game over UC Riverside, 72-57. Tip-off Tuesday in Vermillion is at 7pm.

Oacoma Easter Egg Hunt set for Wednesday
An Easter Egg Hunt will happen on March 27th at the Oacoma City Park. The first hunt will begin at 5:30pm, and is open to kids in pre-school through the third grade. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will take place at the Oacoma Community Center. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance too!
Burke Riding Club to hold annual gala on March 30th
The Burke Riding Club will hold their third annual grandstand gala on March 30th at the Burke VFW. The event is being held to raise money to help defer costs for the existing seating, and help fuel future updates. Dinner will be served at 5:30, and the auction will start at 8pm.
Lady Jackrabbits fall to Utah
The South Dakota State Women’s Basketball team saw their season end on Saturday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Jackrabbits fell to Utah, 68-54. After falling behind 20-3 after the first quarter, South Dakota State cut the deficit to three at halftime, before Utah pulled away in the second half. Tori Nelson led South Dakota State with 14 points. The Lady Jackrabbits end their season with an overal record of 27 wins and 6 losses.
Firemen’s Dance coming up next month in Winner
The Winner Fire Department will hold their annual Firemen’s Dance on Saturday, April 13th at the Winner Armory! Doors will open at 8pm. Music will be provided by Victory Underground. You must be 21 to attend. Rides will be provided to and from the dance within city limits.

At the NCAA National Wrestling Championships on Friday in Kansas City, a great effort was put forth by Nebraska’s Nash Hutmacher, formerly of Chamberlain/Oacoma. Nash in the opening round of the heavyweight division fell via a 10-3 decision to Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State. In the second round, Nash fell to Daniel Bucknavich of Cleveland State in overtime, 5-2.
