The Big Dakota Conference Wrestling Tournament took place in Fort Pierre on Saturday. Winner Area won the team title with 298.5 team points. Runner up was Chamberlain with 208.  At 106 lbs, Kasen Konstantz of Kimball/White Lake/Platte/Geddes finished first overall. Winner Area’s Maxton Brozik was fourth while Karson Keiser was fifth. At 113, Riley Whitley of Redfield Area was first whiile Kaleb Osborn of Winner Area was third.  At 120, Joey Hoverson of Wess Springs/Woon/Wolsey-Wessington was first while Chamberlain’s  Dominic Santiago was runner up. At 126, Winner Area’s Kaden Keiser was victorious over Shilo Mowry of Lyman in the Championship match. At 132, Bradyn Robbins of Redfield Area was victorious in his championship match over Chamberlain’s Gabe Skustad. Winner Area’s Aaron Gilchrist finished fifth. At 138, Riley Orel of Winner Area won his championship match over Grayson Hanson of Kimball/White Lake-Platte/Geddes. At 145, Jack Kruger of Winner Area was crowned champion after his win over Mason Fey of Redfield Area. At 152, Trevor Peters of Winner Area defeated Daniel Cremer of Marion Freeman for the championship. At 160, Sam Kruger of Winner Area finished first overall as he was victorious over Spencer Hanson of Kimball/White Lake-Platte/Geddes. At 170, Corbin Schwartz of Redfield Area beat Levi Nightingale of Kimball/White Lake-Platte/Geddes in the championship. Joey Cole of Winner Area was fifth. At 182, Brock Stevens of Wess Springs/Woon/Wolsey-Wess was crowned champion. Winner Area’s Owen Duffy placed sixth. At 195, Sam Adams of Harding County finished first while Charley Pravecek of Winner Area was fourth. At 220, Quintin Christensen of Wess Springs/Woon/Wolsey-Wess beat Preston Norrid of Winner Area in the championship match. At 285, Nash Hutmacher of Chamberlain pinned Waylon Marshall of Todd County for the championship. Achilles Willuweit of Winner Area was third.
